Healthier Hot Dogs for Your Holiday

While hot dogs are certainly not a health food there are healthier options available that don’t have all the calories or nitrates and are manufactured without the use of antibiotics or hormones.  There is research linking colorectal cancer and processed meat consumption.  Consuming about the amount of one standard hot dog or other processed meat daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by about 21 percent.  Enjoying some of the healthier options for hot dogs now and then certainly does not pose any health risk.  So, this 4th of July go ahead enjoy this American Classic using these uncured, organic versions for your celebrations!
